There are many ways in which a product can be "Green" Solz House Shoes are in a number of ways.
I will list how we have achieved producing a quality product that has taken into account green issues. As you will see there are many factors not always obvious when it comes to selecting "Green" Products
Low Carbon Foot-print
A carbon footprint refers to the energy used in the production of a product, either through the manufacturing process, transportation of goods or energy taken to produce raw materials.
- We use recyled materials to make the rubber sole of the House Shoe, this material would otherwise have ended up as landfil waste. This helps to make the Solz a Carbon Nuetral product meaning that it doesn't add to Greenhouse gases.
Renewable and Biodegradable Materials Used
- Both the cotton and superfine merino fabrics that we use are from renewable sources and will biodegrade over time
- The materials are of a high quality allowing them to be washed for long term wear and re-use. This reduces the stress on the environment by lowering consumption.
